Brake Services

Brake Services

Have Hillside check your brakes every 12,000 miles or once a year because we inspect everything from the pedal to the wheel.  This includes checks of rotors, calipers, lines, hoses, wheel cylinders, the appearance of the brake fluid, pedal feel and travel, and ABS warning lights

performance maintenance

Engine Services

On modern vehicles equipped with electronic ignition, fuel injection and computer controls, "engine performance maintenance" is an orderly process of inspection, computer diagnosis, testing and adjustment to maintain peak auto engine performance.

TPMS

Tire Pressure Monitoring System

If you own a vehicle built after 2007, it has a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS).  The tire pressure monitoring system indicator light on your dashboard shows when air pressure is low.  Driving on underinflated tires increases a drivers chance of being in a serious accident by 300%!

tireservices

Tire Services

Modern tires have "wear bars" molded into the tread that show a cross-tire pattern when the tread wears down to a designated level.  By the time you see the cross-tire pattern, it's definitely time to replace the tire.

strutsnshocks

Shocks and Struts

If the front end of your vehicle of your car dives when you brake, or if the rear end of your vehicle "squats" when you accelerate, it is an indication that your shocks and struts need to be replaced, or at least evaluated.

wheel alignment

Alignment

Correct wheel alignment is making sure that the wheels of the car are perpendicular to the road and parallel to one other.  If your car's wheel alignment is off just 1/8 of an inch, it's like dragging a tire sideways 3 miles for every 1000 miles you drive!
